📝CoTA Registry

Registering with the CoTA Protocol is required for users who wish to interact with assets minted on the protocol.

It requires a one-time deposit of 150 CKB to register a CoTA Cell, which acts as your wallet on the protocol.

One Time Deposit

A One-Time Deposit of 150 CKB is required to register a CoTA Cell. This amount has not explicitly been noted in the official documentation yet, but can be confirmed via the explorer and in the CoTA Example.

1 CKB is used for TXs while the rest is used to match the occupied space for the CoTA Cell.

Registering a CoTA Cell

• New Collection Creation: During the creation of a new collection, if your wallet is not registered, you will be prompted to register with the CoTA Registry to proceed with minting a CoTA Collection.

• Joy ID Users: Users with Joy ID may already have a registered CoTA Cell when unlocking additional security features.

Registration via Profile

Currently, registration outside of minting is not available. However, an option to register will be added to your Profile in a future update if you are not already registered. In the meantime, you can mimic creating a new CoTA Collection from the create page to register.
